Somatic Labs

A Somatic Lab is an invitation to deepen your relationship with Soma through direct, embodied experience. It offers a gently layered exploration of movement, guided by poetic language, evocative cues and finely attuned support. The structure is spacious and steady, giving you time and space to listen to what wishes to move through you. Here, movement arises from within — shaped by curious, permeable attention and the subtle revelations that come when you open to the living currents of wisdom, intelligence and expression that dwell in your body.

The Lab offers a field of permission where your exploration can unfold in its own way, shape and time. Subtle threads of embodied philosophy are woven through the practice, offering orientation that supports without directing. Each session ends with deep rest, then time to journal, draw or share, allowing what has unfolded to settle, to find its own articulation, and to anchor more deeply into your embodied awareness.

Each Lab is shaped around a particular arc of inquiry — a locus that offers a way into the practice. It may arise through embodied anatomy woven with a philosophical sutra, offering an entry point rather than a definition, allowing your experience to unfold in relation to something that supports the field.

The next lab will take place as part of the Samavesa Summer Workshop Series on August 28th 2026. You can book here.

  • "Through her carefully chosen words, Alexandra weaves a tapestry of devotion, years spent listening to the body’s quiet wisdom. Her offerings are like a warm, enveloping blanket, wrapping you in safety and wonder. Practicing with her feels like stepping into a dance within a field of poetry, where movement and meaning intertwine. Her somatic movement labs are an extraordinary gift—a sacred space where you can uncover deeper connections and witness the quiet illumination of life under her gentle guidance.
